H for Hotspot.

Hi and welcome to a brand new challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge.

Your host today is me-Dorte- and I have some exciting news to share with you.
This post is going to be a long one, so make yourself a
cup of coffee, sit down and relax.

First of all I would like to say thank you for the lovely entrants in our
G for Girly and the colour challenge.
Please check the post below for the lucky winner, and Top 3.

The letter for today is H, and we want you to make a:

Hotspot or Spotlight Technique card/project.

As always you have to make it Christmas related.

You might now think, hotspot card, hmm......., what is that,
how do I make a such one??
That was what came to my mind firstly!

I searched in blogland, saw some faboulous cards,
and do you know what; it wasn't difficult to make at all !

To help you I have made a tutorial to show you how I made
my first Hotspot card. And I can tell you, this card will not be the
last Hotspot card from me!

It is also my very first tutorial, so bear over with me......

Supplies:

Two dies or punches
Image
StazOn
Distress or another colouring medium
Black cardstock

Step 1.

Stamp your image twice with black StazOn.

Step 2.

Decide what area you want to have in focus. It doesn't have to be the centre. Try to move the die around.

Step 3.

Cut/punch out the part of the image you want as your hotspot area.
Cut/punch out a black circle a bit larger than the hotspot.

Step 4.

Colour the die cut/punched image.

Step 5.

Glue the two circles together, and layer them on the main image - at the correct place!

Now your image is ready for you to make the card. Just finish it as usual.
Here you can see the result.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Now you are able to make your own Hotspot project. We are looking forward to
seeing the results of your efforts.

We also give you the opportunity to be a

Guest Designer

at the ABC Christmas Challenge for the J and K challenges in May.

Just write GD after your name if you are interested.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamp, who is
