X for Xerox.

Hi Crafters, Dorte here.

I'm going to guide you through this fortnight's challenge.

We don't have so many letters left!

(Except those of us using the Scandinavian alphabet,
we have Æ,Ø and Å also.
Strange letters for most of you, they don't count here!)

So today's letter is

X for Xerox!

It's not as hard as it sounds, I promise.

We want you to xerox one of our cards.

In other words CASE a card made by one of the
DT for any ABC Christmas Challenge in 2011.

Take inspiration from the layout, use the same technique,
or colours, or papers or the same image if you have it.

In the sidebar to the right you can
easily find links to all of this year's challenges.

In other words, what you have to do is to look through this year's challenges
and find a DT card you want to CASE.

When writing your post, we would like you to give
us a link to or a photo of the card you have xerox'ed,
so we can see where, and from whom your inspiration came.

Once again we have two fabulous sponsors

Digital Delights has an awesome selection of
digital images, papers and more.

and one random winner will receive 3 digital images of their choice.

Bugaboo Stamps with their funny and cute characters.

One lucky random winner can pick 7 free images.

Time to show you what we have Xerox'ed for this challenge.
I hope we can give you some inspiration.

We are so lucky having visitors from the Bugaboo DT.
Warm welcome to Cely and Jen joining in as Guest Designers.

I think they will appreciate some lovely words from you all.

Cely Smith

Cely has used Dorte's card for the H for Hotspot challenge as her inspiration.

Jen Leeflang
Jen's ard is based on Hedi's W for Winter Sport card.

And from the ABC Christmas Design Team:

Carissa xeroxed this card made by Lols
for the B for Black and White challenge.

Carol has used the layout from Samantha's V for Vintage.

Delphine's card is based on Carissa's Q for Quote card.

Dorte used Helen's layout from G for Girly.

Heidi CASE'd Lacey's N for No Nonsense card.

Helen made a card similiar to Carissa's A for Anything Goes.

Lacey xeroxing Heidi's W for Wintersport card.

Lols card is based on Carissa's C for Clean & Simple.

Miria using Helen's W Winter Sports as a guide.

Samantha have used elements from Delphine's I for Indingo challenge.

Now it's your turn.
Make a cup of coffee or tea, and browse through this year's challenges so far.

There is a wonderful selection of cards.
I'll bet you can find one or more to CASE.

We look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Remember your project has to be Christmas related.

The challenge runs trough Dec 6th at 6pm GMT.

Dorte and the team.

R is for Recycling and Ribbons or Rhinestones

Hello, Carissa here and this time it is my turn to host the ABC Christmas Challenge.

Before I tell you all about our new challenge I must say that I was blown away by some of the gorgeous cards for our Q is for quote challenge. Be sure to check the post below to see if you are a winner.

The new challenge is
R for Recycling and Ribbons or Rhinestones
You must create a Christmas project using at least on recycled item and it must also include either ribbons or rhinestones. You may use both if you desire.

We are lucky to be sponsored this week by Digital Delights
They have an awesome selection of digital stamps, papers & more,

and our Winner will receive 3 digital stamps of their choice.

To get you started we have compiled a list of recycling Hints and Tips to get you started.

Some ideas that you might include on your projects are:

Alter it - give an old item a new purpose and a new lease on life.
Die cut plastic or chipboard packaging to create one of a kind embellishments.
Re-use buttons, ribbons and lace from old clothing.
Re-use Christmas cards and wrapping paper.
Run flat plastic packaging through an embossing folder to make a gorgeous textured window or overlay.
Use corrugated cardboard and other textured items as a one of a kind background stamp.

Now lets check out the gorgeous recycled projects that the DT have created.

Recycled an old bottle to make a gorgeous one of a kind gift

Created a textured overlay from recycled plastic packaging for her adorable card

Recycled the ribbons and rhinestones from an old card to create this sweet new one

Recycled a tin to make a lovely gift

Recycled a magnet to make her beautiful card and gift in one

Recycled a box to create a one of a kind gift box

Now, it is your turn. Try one of the hints and tips or show us your favourite recycling techniques.
We can't wait to see what you create.
